For the profit margin of 20%, yes, this is indeed the EBITDA. To be honest, I’m not sure what a reasonable profit margin would be regarding the sale of organic products as I’ve never dropshipped them. Keep in mind that the 20% is a common goal for dropshipping stores in general. Some dropshippers will have higher profit margins, and others will have lower ones. Also, it’s not uncommon to see the profit margin fluctuate month-to-month (just like your revenue).

Hello Patryk,

Thanks a bunch for this interesting article! For my understanding, you mentioned that “In terms of a good profit margin, most dropshippers aim to get a profit margin of 20%”. Could you please clarify what you mean by ‘profit margin’? Is it the EBITA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization)?

On the other hand, would the said 20% profit margin be a reasonable rate when it comes to the sale of organic products exclusively?
